I teamed up with iherb to create 5 delicious tea recipes to enjoy this winter. From chocolate indulgent’s to immune boosting tea, I have a variety of teas to choose from. I do love a cup of tea and it may be the brit in me but a day never goes by without treating myself to that perfect cup! Chocolate Chai Tea

Tazo Chocolate Chai Tea

Chai Tea is a delicious blend of ground spices and herbs. My chocolate chai tea is a perfect winter comfort. To make this all you need is:

1 cup of milk

6 milk chocolate cubes (alternatively 1 teaspoon cocoa powder)

6 pimento seeds (alternatively use quarter teaspoon of all spice powder or pinch of nutmeg)

1 cup brewed Tazo Chai Tea (1 teabag)

1 teaspoon of honey or maple syrup

How to make:

Pour the milk into a pan and heat for a minute then add the chocolate and stir.

Once the chocolate has fully melted add the pimento seeds and whisk.

Then add a cup of the brewed chai tea and stir.

Boil for further 2 minutes then serve.


Spiced apple and cinnamon tea

Rooibos Cinnamon Spiced Tea
Rooibos Cinnamon Spiced Tea

½ cup of apple juice

½ cup water

1 cup of brewed rooibos tea (alternatively you can use normal black tea)

½ cinnamon stick (or quarter teaspoon of cinnamon powder)

Pinch of cayenne pepper

1 teaspoon lemon juice (optional)

1 teaspoon of honey

How to make:

Pour your apple juice and water into a pan along with some cinnamon and bring to a boil.

Pour brewed rooibos tea (with teabag) into the pan, add a pinch of cayenne pepper some honey and a dash of lemon juice. Stir well and boil for further 2 minutes. Pour into teacup and serve!

Turmeric Earl Grey Tea

My immune-boosting tea – reap the benefits of Turmeric and enjoy this with earl grey along with the addition of spices.

1 Cup of milk (Condensed milk or soy adds sweetness and texture)

½ teaspoon of turmeric

6 cloves

Quarter teaspoon of African Calabash nutmeg (normal nutmeg will do)

1 cup of brewed Earl Grey tea

Maple syrup (optional)

Tiny pinch of salt

How to make:

Pour the milk into the pan and heat for 1 minute. Add the turmeric and stir.

Then add the cloves and nutmeg and stir. Once they’ve infused for 2 minutes add the cup of brewed tea (with the tea bag) along with some maple syrup and salt. 


Vanilla and caramel tea:


 1 Vanilla Caramel teabag

1 cup of hot water

Evaporated milk (or any milk of your choice)

1 teaspoon of maple syrup (or sugar of your choice)

Tiny pinch of salt

Whipped cream

 1 teaspoon of salted caramel buttons

How to  make:

Add the vanilla and caramel teabag (alternatively use normal black tea and infuse with caramel and vanilla syrup or flavouring). You can also add hot milk to the caramel buttons and stir well until it forms into thick syrup and combine with brewed normal black tea.

Pour hot water into the cup and infuse the tea for 2 minutes before adding the milk. Once the tea has brewed add the milk and maple syrup and salt. Stir well then finish with some whipped cream and caramel buttons. Serve and enjoy!


Sweet orange tea



1 Tazo orange teabag

1 cup of hot water

1 teaspoon of lemon juice

2 tablespoons of honey

Pour hot water over teabag and brew for 3 minutes add a lemon juice and honey stir well and serve. Enjoy!
